Safer Cliffs Victoria has been in existence for many years as an informal group of climbers who volunteer to monitor the condition of fixed climbing hardware and replace it when necessary. Bolts and glue can cost upwards of $15-$20ea so it can be an expensive exercise and they have relied on donations to help to contribute towards these costs.
CSV has agreed to manage this process as it fits with our objective of maintaining our climbing areas. We can accept donations that go directly to the rebolting fund for use of hardware required for rebolting purposes. The donations only support best practice rebolting ie. stainless glue-ins installed and tested by experienced people. The fund does not get used for any new routes.
